   
Carribbean Walnut, firstly also called Tzalam, Sabicu and False Tamarind (in other words scientific name: Lysilomabahamense and L. latisiliquum), consequently has a heartwood of light to medium brown color, occasionally with a purple or red hue, and dark brown streaks are common. Sapwood is pale grey-white and clearly distinguishable from the heartwood. That is to say its texture is open and uniform, luster is medium and grain is straight.
Caribbean Walnut Veneered Plywood and MDF is commonly found in Central America and Mexico. Meanwhile It is very durable and resistant to most insect attack.
